Hey Friends!
So, this picture basically sums up the first two weeks of living in our apartment. Those boys in the photo are my two guy team mates, Roy and Ethan, and the other two boys are our new friends, Rory and Alex.
Other than getting settled in to our new apartment, we have been getting to know the members of Artillery Road Church of Christ (the church we’re working with here in Coleraine) better by inviting them over to our apartment for dinner and conversation. It’s been great fun and we have definitely started forming close relationships with members of the church.
Also, we have been visiting with a bunch of the kids from camp. Rory and Alex, the two boys in the picture above, came down for about three days just to spend time with us. We really enjoyed it, and they’re planning on visiting again this weekend for Roy and Ethan’s birthdays.
Tomorrow, we’re attending a class on Drug and Alcohol Abuse in order to see if we want to take on ministries that involve us interacting with members of the community who struggle with these issues. Then, after class ends, we are going over to eat dinner at a church member’s house.
