These are just a few pictures from August that didn’t fit in my newsletter (there were more, but these were some of my favorites).
I met the two girls in the photo while I was working on Staff at Camp Shamrock back in July, and they wanted to meet up with us after we got moved in to Coleraine. The boy with them is one of their friends who lives in town and wanted to hang out with them for the day and came along to meet us. I’m really glad that the youth here feel comfortable enough with my team to introduce us to their friends.
Also, this picture shows you a little bit about the culture here in Northern Ireland. One of the popular trends among the young people is mutli-coloured hair. However, since young people can’t have that coloured hair at school, they used a colouring device that is sprayed out of a can and will wash away in the shower.
That’s just a little bit of what else I was up to in August. :)
