Dear Friends,

First of all, I want to thank you so much for your faithful support during my first month and a half on the field. I appreciate it so much and I want you to know that things here are brilliant.

This week promises to be a busy one. My team and I are finally getting introduced to one of the ministries that excites me the most, The Kilcranny House. The Kilcranny House is a Peace and Reconciliation Center in town that offers a number of services to better the community of Coleraine. After we get shown around the Kilcranny House, we are going over to a church member’s house for dinner and a movie, just to get to know him better. Then, either Wednesday or Friday, we will be introduced to some of Coleraine Police Officers.

Thursday, however, we will be continuing a class we are taking with CRUN(Coleraine Rural and Urban Network) about Drug and Alcohol Awareness. This class is to better prepare us for working in situations that might arise during our field time. Then, we will be helping a church member organize a boot sale on Saturday for her parents (who are also members at our church), so that they can continue to run their program that is (from my understanding) similar to Riding for the Disabled over in the states.

I am looking forward to starting up more ministries here and getting to know more people in Coleraine so, needless to say, I am very excited about this week.

I want to thank you again for all of your support, prayers and encouragement that you have sent my way and I want you to know it means the world to my team too. All of this would not be possible without all of you, so thank you.

Sincerely,

Kelly
